War and Wedding

GFM Studio has joined the post-production phase of Zaza Kolelishvili's War and Wedding to produce DVD and Blu-Ray versions of the film, along with subtitles in three languages (Georgian, Russian, English).

The movie premiered on January 21, 2010 in Amirani and Rustaveli theaters in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Interesting fact: the movie shot on HD PAL and Blu-Ray was originally authored in the same format (Georgia being in PAL region), though apparently no theater in Georgia was able to project PAL discs and the project had to be re-authored in NTSC Blu-Ray.

This may be interesting to the folks intending to release movies on Blu-Ray in Georgian theaters. Due to the reasons above, it is recommended to check with the theaters about their projection capabilities first.
