In December GFM Studio finished Georgian dubbing and subtitling of Edvins Snore's popular documentary The Soviet Story.

The project was conducted by the support of Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and in collaboration with the film creators.

For Georgian version GFM Studio translated, re-spotted, recorded and mixed the dialogue, as well as designed, authored the bi-lingual DVD and replicated 3000 copies.

While the limited edition Georgian-dubbed discs we replicated are probably all gone by now—having served a special purpose and not reaching retailers—the good news is that the international PAL and NTSC DVD versions of the film, distributed worldwide by Perry Street Advisors, now comes with Georgian subtitles as well.

The DVD can be purchased from its official site, or (NTSC Version) from Amazon U.S.

We are making fast progress in providing full scale Blu-Ray Live (BD-Live) support.  With its unparalleled interactivity possibilities, including upgradeable exclusive content and peer-to-peer interactions, BD-Live (a.k.a. Profile 2.0) is definitely the part of future disc authoring and home entertainment.

We are glad to announce the start of development stage of our new production of short fiction, working titled The Sequences.  The story will concentrate on the development of sequences at the specific location in old town of Tbilisi, Georgia's capital.  Still no decision whether it will be shot on 35mm or straight on digital 4K.

The recent events in Georgia have triggered some changes in the story of one of GFM Studio productions, Batal28, though the development stage is finally approaching an end and we will be moving to pre-production stage soon.  Additional details will be announced as soon as pre-production is complete.

New screenplay contest is underway to promote aspiring screenwriters and filmmakers. The contest will be announced on October 4. Selected projects will be supported by various means, receiving assistance at various stages of production.
