Video Referee (VAR)

Video Referee Assistant (VAR) technology has become an essential part of modern professional sports officiating and broadcasting. It allows referees to review critical match situations using synchronized multi-camera footage, helping ensure fair and accurate decisions during sporting events.

GFM Studio provides professional Video Referee Assistant services using SlomoTV Video Referee systems, one of the most widely used VAR technologies in international sports competitions. Our studio owns three complete SlomoTV Video Referee systems, which allow us to deploy reliable and flexible VAR setups for various sporting events and tournaments.

Each system supports up to eight camera feeds simultaneously, enabling referees and VAR operators to review important match situations from multiple angles. The system provides both real-time monitoring and detailed replay analysis using slow motion and frame-by-frame playback, allowing officials to carefully examine key moments such as fouls, penalties, offsides and other controversial match situations.

The SlomoTV platform provides powerful replay tools that allow operators to quickly locate and analyze important moments during the match. These tools significantly improve the accuracy of refereeing decisions by providing clear visual evidence from different camera perspectives.

In addition to the video review system, GFM Studio provides a full Vokkero wireless referee communication package designed specifically for professional sports officiating. The Vokkero system enables stable real-time communication between the main referee, assistant referees, VAR operators and technical staff throughout the entire match.

This communication system ensures efficient coordination between all officials involved in the decision-making process and allows referees to receive immediate feedback from the VAR team when reviewing match situations.

GFM Studio has been providing Video Referee Assistant services for the Georgian football championship Erovnuli Liga for the past five years. During this time our VAR systems have been successfully used in numerous league matches, supporting referees with accurate video analysis and reliable communication throughout the competition.

Our VAR systems are suitable for professional sports competitions, league matches, tournaments and international sporting events. The system can be integrated with existing broadcast production infrastructure and camera setups, making it an efficient and reliable solution for modern sports events.

With extensive experience in sports broadcasting and production, GFM Studio ensures reliable technical operation, precise video analysis and professional workflow throughout the entire event.
